E cell organised a Guest Lecture on 19.10.15 by Mr. Tarun Bansal. Mr. Tarun Bansal is Managing Director, Blue Pigeon (Marketing and Brand consultancy and communications). Apart from Blue Pigeon, he has lately ventured into Digi Mate, a digital marketing institute, started in June 2015 and another one in the field of travelling, Backpack Vacations catering to the experience sharing of travellers across the world. He initiated the talk by discussing his ventures and stimulated the idea of entrepreneurship over a job among students.He said “Entrepreneurship is all about curing pain points”, hence the first thing to identify is the pain points. Once that is successful, it is important to chalk out a plan and then focus on its appropriate execution. In his opinion any business can be set right with SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic and Time bound) goals. That will help one make decisions on all 4ps. The opportunity has to be thought not in terms of what it is today but what will it be in the years to come. He gave illustrations from Yebhi.com, Flipkart.
