Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA)
COURSE OBJECTIVE
The Bachelors of Computer Application (BCA) is a 3 years fulltime program, affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University. The Program is crafted with an intent to create highly skilled, adaptable IT graduates with an ability to design IT based solutions for the modern world across industries. The programme is designed to impart quality education from elementary to advance concepts in Computer Science and its applications in various domains. To further the creativity the curriculum covers diverse range of topics on disruptive technologies like Data Science, Cyber Security, Big Data Analytics Etc. to suit the current trends and technologies. Our updated computer labs, Wi-Fi enabled environment and result-oriented faculty ensure the skill development leading to excellence amongst students The hands on sessions in Computer labs using various Programming languages and tools give deep conceptual understanding of the topics to widen the horizon of students’ self- experience. The physical and virtual libraries stand as a strong support system for continuous learning and growth. To stimulate the competitive spirit to create, lean and grow, we provide array of events like those of Hackathon both at college and national level. The Seminars, workshops and symposium with eminent speakers of the industry act as a bridge amongst students’ expectations and demand of the industry. The skillset gained hereby equip our graduates for a wide range of jobs in corporate Industry and encourage students to be an entrepreneur. We prepare the students to work professionally pertaining to social, ethical, cultural and cyber regulations. The perspective of this course is to produce employable IT workforce, that will have sound knowledge of IT and business fundamentals that can be applied to develop and customize solutions for various Enterprises.

BCA is a three years (Full-Time) programme
BCA ELIGIBILITY
Eligibility Criteria: Pass in 12th Class of 10+2 of CBSE or equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate* with pass in English (core or elective or functional). Mathematics or Computer Science or any other subject related to Computer Science.
OR
Three years Diploma in a branch of Engineering from a polytechnic duly approved by All India Council for Technical Education and affiliated to a recognized examining body with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate
ADMISSION CRITERIA
Admission is done through centralized online counselling conducted by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University on the basis of the merit of the CET. The vacant seats after exhausting the merit list of CET will be filled through the merit list of CUET#.

PROGRAMME STRUCTURE
The BCA programme is a three-year course divided into six-semesters. (With effect from 2017) a student is required to complete 150 credits for the completion of course and the award of degree out of 160 credits.
