The Bake Make workshop was conducted at JIMS Rohini Campus on 06th March, 2021. The students of PGDM - International Business participated in the workshop and the event wasa thundering success. It was completely student driven workshop under theguidance of Mr Soumitro Mukherjee (Visiting Faculty and Trainer)
The students ofthis batch were divided into 5 groups and each group represented anInternational Start-up Venture engaged in the business of making bakery items.
In this entireworkshop the students had to engage in inter group participation and workedextensively with the team members to chalk out innovative strategies forassessing the product portfolio, participate in exchange of ingredients, andapply the concepts of International business strategy to have a successfulmarket entry.
The workshop was agood platform for students to explore the following learnings:
1. Inefficientallocation of resources encouraging international trade
2. Developing aprudent marketing mix to target customer segments and drive sales and revenueearnings
3. Work out the mixof ingredients for optimizing cost and launching products for the benefits ofthe consumers.
4. The applicationof promotion mix and blending of ingredients for designing the most appropriateproducts and marketing the products effectively.
5. Demonstratingstrong inter personal group processes and team work, ethics, etc
6. Acquiringknowledge on the art of negotiation and convincing customers to conclude tradedeals successfully.
7. Responding toannouncements and modifying the marketing mix comprising the 4 Ps to capturelarger marketing share
8. Strategizing oncost optimization, pricing tactics for enhancing market share and profits.
9. Judiciousplanning of cash, ingredients and promotion mix, etc for maximizing revenueearnings
