JIMS Rohini organised an Alumni Session on “Finding the right course- A realistic approach to achieving your goals”; with Mr. Shubham Aggarwal, PGDM- International Business Batch of 2018-20 on February 5,2021 for the students of PGDM-IB, with the objective of guiding them in the right direction concerning their future prospects and gaining knowledge on various vital subjects by equipping them with the right choice of courses that can pave their way for achievement of goals and hence ultimate success.
Mr. Aggarwal started by divulging his entire journey from his school to his college life and how various courses and the right subject knowledge has always helped him through it all. He further elaborated on his background in finance and his starting career. He had been previously employed with Ernst and Young and is currently working for Goldman Sachs.
He advised the students to make life learning oriented, rather than chasing “Big Names” that offer no knowledge or personal growth. He continuously emphasised on the importance of technical knowledge and practical approach in order to crack an interview.
Towards the end, Mr. Shubham discussed the various sources and courses that students should pursue in order to build their conceptual knowledge regardless of their selection of stream. The session was quite informative.
