With the purpose of reviving the creativepersonas, stimulating the spontaneity and keeping the students up to date withthe ongoing trends in the world that influence marketing, Marquest, theMarketing club of JIMS organised MOMENTO, a moment marketing event on December12, 2020. The event was presided over by Dr. Bhavneet Kaur, the faculty convenerfor the club. The event was also graced with the felicitous presence of Dr.Neha Shukla, Associate Professor at JIMS.
As for the competition guidelines, each teamwas given a brand and “The Monolith” as a notable moment for which they neededto create a Tweet and a poster depicting the given moment, while trying toadvertise their respective brands. The participants were provided with apreparation time of thirty minutes for the same. There was a participation of15 teams in total, comprising 3 members each and a vast variety of products,ranging from streaming services such as Netflix, Prime Video, Spotify etc. tofood delivery apps such as Zomato, Swiggy etc. and ed-tech such as Byjus wereon show.
Meanwhile, for theengagement, fun and frolic of the audience, a few amusing activities such asguessing the moments and the brands from the print advertisements were alsoarranged, and the participation was overwhelming. All the teams performedastoundingly well, with their Tweets and posters on the other hand, making theaudience enjoy with their thoughtful comic content.
The event wasbrought to a close with the esteemed judge announcing the three winning teams. Winners for the two activities from theaudience were declared later as well. A note of thanks from club convener and afew encouraging words from the respected judge were also delivered. It wasexhilarating how the event turned out to be such a great success, owing to theimmense participation of enthusiastic students, supervision and support of ourteachers and the unfathomable efforts of the club members.
