PGDM department organized a guest session for PGDM Batch (2019-21) on “Lets meet supply chain management” by JIMS alumni, Mr. Surojit Bose, Regional sales Head, Ultra Tech Cement on 16th Sept 2020.
The speaker started the session by telling the importance of Logistics and Supply chain management. He addressed some issues that are faced by the logistics and supply chain managers and how they act as a bridge between manufacturing and sales and how to cope up with those issues. He further addressed the importance of certain qualities such as patience, relationship management and self motivation that will be more useful in getting a job and being successful in it.
At the end, the speaker spoke about various companies in which there is a scope and employment opportunities.
It was a good learning experience and the students got an insight to the real world and how to work in a logistics and supply chain job.
