JIMS CONNECT organized an Online Alumni Interactive Session on the topic “Possible Options Post BCA” for BCA III year students on 10th September, 2020. Ms. Twinkle Aggarwal, Assistant Manager Trade Marketing was the resource person.
DISCUSSION:-
Ms. Twinkle started her address by sharing her own journey about her bachelors and her experience in pursuing higher studies. She emphasized on the fact that corporate world is totally different from what it looks like. They want students who have strong mentality and maturity i.e. students who can work under high pressure which they have learnt in their post-graduation. She gave many tips to the students:-

Learn life Skills and work on your communication skills.

Be focused and decide what you want to do and be focused on that thing even if you had to drop a year to achieve it.

Always try to have a backup plan if possible.

She explained that there is no shortcut for hard work, if you want to achieve something you have to be dedicated for it.
Ms. Twinkle described the core reality of industry in the time of pandemic, i.e. everyone in the industry is struggling right now but in 2-3 years everything will go back to normal. The session was followed by question and answer round where students majorly asked questions about preparation and various modes (open/full time) for post graduation and career options after BCA. In the end, she closed her address with a positive and motivating note and advised students to always work passionately, be competitive and shape their future. Students were benefitted a lot by this interactive session.
