Jagan Institute of Management Studies (JIMS)Rohini, Delhi, India organized International Conference on Advances inManagement Practices (ICAMP) 2020 on Saturday, 23rd May, 2020in Online (Virtual) mode. ICAMP 2020 was the International Conference of ICAMPseries. Amidst prevailing Covid-19 pandemic, it was a great challenge toorganize it. But with the team efforts, it was successfully conducted andconcluded. The conference started with the welcome address by Dr. N P Singh, Convener-ICAMP2020. This was followed by Inaugural Address delivered by Dr. Pooja Jain, Director,JIMS.
The inaugural session had some of the topinternational speakers to add feathers in ICAMP 2020 cap. Dr. Justin Paul,Professor (University of PR, San Juan,USA), Editor-in Chief- International Journal of Consumer Studies (ARank- ABDC Australia) and Managing Guest Editor- Journal of BusinessResearch delivered a keynoteaddress. He enlightened the audience with 7 P framework for Performance & Businesssuccess. Dr. Harminder Singh, Director, Executive Education(International), Deakin University,Australia shared his research on overinvestmentand refinancing in companies. Dr.(Maj.) Rupinder Kaur, Coach and Culture Architect, Consultant EY, India beautifully touched upon the various contemporarytopics in the area of general management and OB/HR.
After lunch break,technical sessions on finance, marketing, HR, and General Management wereconducted simultaneously in four different tracks. The sessions were chaired byboth internal and external subject experts. We had external experts fromrenowned universities and the government institutions namely Delhi Technology University,Jamia Millia Islamia, NIT (H.P) and CSIR, Delhi.
In total, wereceived 109 papers notonly from reputed universities, ministries, government institutes and B-schoolsacross India but also from foreign universities. Out of 109, only 56 papers were selected forpresentation in four different Tracks (in each Technical Session). It was agreat learning experience for all the participants, JIMS faculty, scholars andstudents. The presented papers were ranked as quality papers by the experts. Theparticipants were overwhelmed with the overall experience. The selected papershave been sent to some journals ICAMP collaborated for possible publications.The overall best paper award (cash prize Rs 10,000) was won by Dr Maria TresitaPaul V. and her co-author. The conference was concluded successfully. Dr.Pratima Daipuria, Dean-PGDM presented the Vote of Thanks.
