As a part of MHRD- SIH 2020 initiative Institution Innovation cell of JIMS organized Internal Hackathon on 23rd and 24th Jan, 2020. Total of 18 teams from BBA/BCA/MCA participated in Hackathon. Teams picked up problem statements given on MHRD portal like Agricultural and rural development, Data analysis ,CROP management , Security Surveillance, waste management etc. It started with a Inaugural session by the dignitaries Dr Mohit Gambhir Innovation Director , MHRD, Dr. Pooja Jain , Director JIMS , Dr .Praveen Arora ,Dean IP Dept . First day of Hackathon started wherein students were asked to formulate solution of the problem in a team. Evaluation panels comprised of 3 faculty members and was done on basis of presentation of their problem statement and solution framework .
Second round of evaluation started wherein teams were given time to continue work on the solution framework of the model. After second round of evaluation 10 teams were shortlisted for next day final evaluation round. On 24th Jan final round of evaluation started where 7 teams were selected among which top 2 teams were given cash prizes.
The event received enthralling response from the participants . Winning teams were congratulated and also advised to keep working on the problem statement to arrive at proper formulized solution.
