BID WARS 2020


BIDWARS was organised on 5th March, 2020 by E-360 club economics. Large number of students participated in order to enhance their skills and to compete with each other. The students were required to participate in a team of 4 students. The event had 3 rounds namely:

  1. Negotiation round 
  2. Create to sell round
  3. Auction round

The negotiation round: This round began with thrill and attracted the students in which the main task was to buy raw material for round 2 with the help of limited amount of money . Each team was given Rs.5000 in all dominations so that they could negotiate with the buyers. There were 24 sellers and each team was allotted one seller and each seller was given Rs 500 to ease the negotiation. The teams who managed to purchase most of the raw material by spending less money were qualified for the next round. The main motive behind this round was to enhance the fund management skills of the students.

The create to sell round: During this round the winning teams were given 20 minutes to create something creative in order to present it for auctioning in round 3 . Each team made a creative product and proved their ability. This round’s aim was to develop creativity skills of the students. 

 The auction round: During this round each team was given 2 minutes to present their product and the idea behind it to the judges and each team had to convince the judges to buy their product at the prices they quoted. Only the top 3 teams who managed to sell their product at highest prices quoted were considered as winners.

The first, second and third position holders were given cash prizes 

The event was headed by Ms. Mansi Madan and Ms. Akanksha chopra and coordinated by the team of club economics .The event as a great success.
