Annual Alumni Dinner Organized by JIMS Alumni Association, held on Saturday, 29th , Feburary, 2020 at IHC, New Delhi
We live our day to day lives oblivious to the beauty that surrounds us and by the time we do realise what exactly it is that we've been blessed with, it's generally too late. However when the good ol' days call yet again, nostalgia surrounds us as we walk the hallowed boulevards of our youth. The Annual Alumni Dinner brings to our alumni a chance to reconnect with their Alma Mater.
JIMS hosted the Annual Alumni Dinner on February 29th, 2020 at India Habitat Centre, Delhi, organized by the JIMS Alumni Association.
The event started with a welcome address by Dr. Surbhi Malhotra, Alumni Convenor. She talked about the importance of alumni and the initiatives taken by the Institute to strengthen the alumni relations. She also threw light on various other events organized by the Alumni Committee through the years such as reunions and business seminars, and initiatives like updating Alumni Database and Alumni Newsletter. She introduced the members of alumni association and Mr. Manish Gupta, Chairman, JIMS felicitated the members with gifts. He spoke about the new Alumni student mentorship platform which is designed for student and alumni interaction.
Further the JIMS Awards of Excellence were presented to three deserving Alumni, by Dr. Pooja Jain, Director, JIMS. The JIMS Award of Excellence, are given to alumni in recognition of their achievements of exceptional merit and excellence in their chosen field of endeavour be it industry, entrepreneurship, research, academia or social service.
The Distinguished Alumni Award winners this year is SAURABH KHANDELWAL PGDBM 1998-2000.The YOUNG ACHEIVERS AWARD winner are Karan Kapoor PGDBM 2005-2007 and Pulkit Pushkarna MCA 2011-2014.
The JURY’S SPECIAL AWARD winner this year is Prashant Kapur PGDBM 1994-1996.
The crowd enjoyed Gaurav Gupta, stand-up comedian show, with a burst of laughter, the show became one of the most talked about event of the meet. The alumni as well the students and faculty had a great time laughing their heart out.
The Dinner ended with a vote of thanks by Dr. Pooja Jain, Director JIMS, She encouraged the alumni to participate more in campus events and activities and visit JIMS more often
