Guest Lecture on Career in Cloud

The speaker explained to us what the cloud is and how does it work. He briefed the audience about the history of the companies using the cloud. How companies found a need to use the cloud and how they started using the cloud. Cloud became popular as it was cheap, easily available, and was secure. Then he started telling us about the job trends. Cloud developer, Software architect, Cloud architect, Security engineer are some of the jobs available in the market and the scope is very big after choosing the field of cloud. Also, he briefed about the steps for setting up a cloud and how can one become good in the field of the cloud:-

  1. Certification for cloud – First need is the certification. We need to certify ourselves to have a piece of good knowledge of the cloud. Types of certification are Professional, Associate, and
  2. Learn the language – We need to learn some programming languages like python to work on the cloud.
  3. Create competency – To compete with the other candidates we need to prepare ourselves by studying online through Udemy or through online
  4. Become engineer – The final step is to become an expert by working on some clouds like google cloud.

Then he showed us the AWS console services and gave them a demo about how things work on the cloud. Also, he showed the steps to deploy a server. Then he explained how companies having a website use Auto Scaling to manage traffic on their website. At last, he told them about the current trends in IT industries and the future scope of cloud. Cloud has some big benefits and is going to have a big market as every company is planning to be on the cloud. Cost optimization, Automation, Backup & restore, Performance optimization are some of the benefits of the cloud.
