MDP on Upgradation of Managerial Skills for Sr. Managers and Officers of DTC


A 4 day workshop was organized by JIMS, Rohini for the Sr. Managers and Managers of Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) at JIMS campus from 18th September,2019 to 21st September, 2019. The workshop was aimed at addressing issues related to leadership effectiveness as well as diagnosing issues related to personal and professional differences.

The inaugural session began with the address by Dr. Pooja Jain, Director, JIMS who briefed the audience about JIMS and its various initiatives.

The workshop was conducted in three sessions. 

Session 1: Leading with a Purpose

Mr. Suneel Keswani, a professional corporate trainer and visiting faculty at JIMS, conducted an engaging and interactive session. It focussed on personal and organisational leadership for better decision making, sense of ownership and involvement at workplace 

Session 2: Workplace Conflict 

Mr. Keswani during this session talked about handling and resolving conflicts at workplace. He gave inputs on strategies to be adopted to managing conflicts arising out of personality or work related issues. It was an interactive session in which participants were engaged through videos and learning activities 

Session 3: Leading Through Emotional Intelligence

Dr. Pratima Daipuria, Dean Management at JIMS, conducted the session through activities and exercises. She explained the importance of emotions and how to manage them for self and others. She also discussed the personality traits and responses in different situations

Throughout the event  a range of techniques such as team activities, role clarification and enactment, exercises, assessments, games, small group activities, were included to make the learning effective.

The workshop concluded with a Vote of Thanks to the resource persons, coordinators and participants. Also, certificate of participation were distributed to all the participants by the Director, JIMS.
