JIMS celebrated Diwali on 23rd October, 2019. The event was organised by the Cultural Club of PGDM and IP departments. The campus was decorated with lights representing the festival of lights. Students made rangoli near the reception to welcome faculty, staff members and the students. Everyone including the teachers and the students were dressed in Ethnic clothes. The students and few NGOs had put up the stalls near the Nescafe cafeteria as well. The stalls had games, food, jewellery, handmade decorations and many more items.
The events started at 2:30 PM with a Talent Competition in which the student participants showcased their talents by giving dance, singing, poetry and instrumental performances. There were group as well as solo performances. Each and every student showcased their talent and the competition was proven to be a very entertaining one. The audience enjoyed all the power packed performances.
Four performances won the cash prizes. These performances included 2 group dance and 2 solo dance performances.
The crowd rushed to the back stage of the institute where the DJ was set up. The tennis court near the stage was turned into a DJ floor with beautiful lighting. The students joyfully danced to the music. And the event ended at 7:30 PM.
It was a very successful event by organised by the Cultural Club under the guidance of Dr N P Singh.
