The success of any college can be measured by the success of its alumni. An interactive alumni guest session was organized by JIMS Rohini on 15th October, 2019 for the PGDM-Retail Management students(batch 2019-21)on the Topic “Artificial Intelligence- A Tool in fashion Retail industry to communicate Fashion Trends”. The resource person was Mr. Prashant Kapur, (National Sales Head Vodafone m-Pesa Ltd., alumnus PGDM(batch 1994-96).

Mr. Prashant Arora started the discussion with the concept of retail and how retail is spreading its feathers in India and abroad. He further explained the era of artificial intelligence and its application worldwide. Then he moved the discussion on how artificial intelligence helps marketers to understand consumers’ needs. He discussed various terms related to artificial intelligenceand focused on various related concepts big data, analytics etc. in the area of Retail. He threw light on how retail companies including the online & offline onescollect data and how this collected big data helps them make strategies. Discussion was done on how artificial intelligence as atool is emerging in India with various examples. At the end, he advised the students to explore the market and read concepts and connect them with practical scenario of Retail. He ended the lecture with good wishes for all the students.
