The Internal Quality Assurance Cell has organized a Faculty Development Programme on 10th July, 2019 in Conference Room, Building A. The resource person for the session was Mr. Jitesh Mohnot. He is a Doctoral candidate of Strategy at IIM Trichy. The session started with a registration process from 9:30 am - 10:00 am. The first session was on Qualitative Research where he discussed a paper titled ‘The Artisan and His Audience: Identification with Work and Price Setting in a Handicraft Cluster in Southern India’. That particular paper contributed the economic decision making in the context of meaningful work by highlighting the moderating role of audiences uncovering the mechanism of product attachment.
The session-2 was on Problematizing your Research where he discussed how to generate research questions through problematization. He also discussed a paper on this topic which was very helpful in generating research questions.
The third session was an open discussion was held in which questions regarding qualitative research were discussed. He also discussed how to write quality research papers. The session has really contributed in enhancing the qualitative research knowledge.
The session ended with a valedictory session and it was highly appreciated. Such more sessions will be encouraged in future too.
