JIMS Rohini organized the first alumni meet of its Singapore chapter on 27th March, 2019 at NALAN Restaurant, Singapore. It was attended by senior alumni of JIMS who are presently placed at Singapore, including Mr. Deepak Sood, Barclay's Bank, Head offshore Rates Trading, Alumnus of 1993-95 batch and Ms. Mamta Mandal, Director, Cherisma Consulting, Alumna of 1996-98. Mr. Vaibhav Agarwal, Alumnus 2005-08 batch, AVP, Deutsche Bank could not participate due to some urgent official engagements. Also present were, Dr. Pooja Jain, Director, JIMS, Dr. Pratima Daipuria, Dean PGDM, JIMS and Dr. Yukti Ahuja, Sr. Faculty, JIMS.
The alumni had a healthy discussion on various aspects related to improvement in management education and its pedagogy. They provided valuable inputs on the relevance of international exposure for the management students and how they can get benefited through international exchange programs. Alumni appreciated the continuous quality improvement efforts being made by JIMS, through accreditations and MOUs with the International universities. They were briefed on latest developments, new programs and infrastructure related improvements at JIMS in last couple of years.
Alumni reminisced the times when they were in college and appreciated a huge leap that JIMS has taken in establishing itself as a renowned brand in last over two decades. Dr. Pooja Jain thanked the alumni for taking time out of their busy schedule and acknowledged their efforts in organizing the meet.
