On 19th February 2019, JIMS organized a workshop for the students of PGDM Batch (2018-20). It was a rejuvenating session as it was a different kind of exposure for all the students apart from the daily monotony, the students were supposed to brainstorm on the given tasks and had to complete it by imparting leadership qualities. The guests for the workshop were Mr. SK Sharma, retired from Indian Air Force services and currently serving as MD and Chief Mentor at Training and Beyond India (TABI), helps in fostering team work among company mangers through Behavioral training workshops. Mr. Yuvraj Shekhawat, alumni (11-13 batch) of JIMS and is currently Co-founder with Mr. Krishan of a startup named Pristinexperia Private Limited. The guests conducted two different time based activities based on “team building”. The students were divided into three teams and were provided with required tools and design layout and were asked to build one pyramid of 7 feet height within time span of 1.5 hour.
Students were filled with enthusiasm. It was a very new and exciting experience for all of them. The dedication and planned coordination among teams resulted in building the given layout accurately and on time.
The second activity was more innovative and fun filled. Now students were supposed to build one race track on which car race was to happen between the three teams, with the help of wood pieces and other required materials students again this time with a competitive spirit stood together and built the track to get it ready for the final showdown.
It was a great learning experience for the students.
