An interactive session ALUMNI CONNECT was conducted at Jagan Institute of Management Studies, Sec-5, Rohini on 09 February 2019. ALUMNI CONNECT is a significant platform which gives students the opportunity to hear from their seniors about their journey and experiences from college to the corporate world.
Mr. Dipanshu Asri (MCA) and Mr. Pulkit Pushkarna (MCA) were welcomed as the mentors for the students and guided them with their knowledge and experiences. Mr. Dipanshu Asri is presently working as the senior software engineer at Nagarro. Mr. Pulkit Pushkarna is currently working as the senior software engineer at To The New.
They discussed various emerging technologies, like:- SPRING BOOT. It is highly dependent on the starter templates feature which is very powerful and works flawlessly. For those students who did not have an interest in coding they explained the new field DEVOP which takes help of the AWS (Amazon Web Services). They also discussed profiles other than development like AUTOMATED TESTING, BUSINESS ANALYST and DBA.
They gave the students an insight of the various websites like Interview Bit, Leet Code, Hacker Route, Hacker Earth and geeks for geeks to practice online coding. They mentioned websites like IndiaBix.com and Lufayo.com for aptitude test. They encouraged the students to work upon the basics of Procedural and OOPS. The discussion truly proved to be beneficial for the students. The informative session ended with an active participation by the students.
