JIMS Rohini organized a store visit for the students of PGDM-Retail Management (batch 2018-20) as a part of the curriculum of the subject ‘Retail Store Operations’ on 10th November 2018. Faculty, Ms. Surbhi Jain asked students to do a comparison between two brands; such as Nike and Adidas, Lifestyle and More Mega Store etc. Students went to retail stores and interacted with the staff of the particular brand and made a comparison report. Students could easily judge store managing skills such as first impression of the outlet, how a retailer approaches their customers, how is the atmosphere of the outlet, visual merchandising, product issues, brand specific issues, layouts and product presentations, non-human services etc. Students also submitted the observation sheet of the store which they visited. They prepared power point presentations on the same and made presentations in the class. They focused on the observations and learning during the visit and the suggested recommendations for the stores.
