An informative session was organised by Investofin - Finance Club of JIMS, Sec 5, Rohini on Friday, 2nd November, 2018 in college premises for the students of PGDM, PGDM IB/PGDM RM. The resource persons for the day were Mr. Abhishek Dave, Chief Manager, NSE India Ltd. and Mr. Kunal Tyagi, Deputy Manager, NSE India Ltd. The motive was to make the students aware about NSE and career opportunities in this segment. The session started with the welcome of the guests. Mr. Kunal Tyagi took over the dais and talked on history of stock markets, types and functions of capital market and their significance. He also sensitised students on the need of these financial securities, derivatives, and mutual funds and how the channelize in the most productive way to benefit both the parties involved. He even explained the analytics on the returns of shares, thus making the discussion engaging. After this, Mr. Abhishek Dave took the lead by educating students on NCFM certifications which would fetch aid them in career growth . He shared the importance, profiles, relevance and future prospects of the different categories of certifications. It was indeed an interactive session of two hour which proved productive for the students as they cleared their doubts and learnt distinct. The session ended by thanks giving note by Mr N P Singh, Associate Professor JIMS. The event was concluded successful with the support of the Dean, Dr Pratima Daipuria and club members in organising this event.
