IP Department of JIMS organised a “Health Awareness Series” on 05th Feb 2018 for MCA students by Renowned Doctors of Fortis & BLK Super Speciality Hospital.
Session started with the welcome address by Dr Praveen Arora, HoD IP affiliated programs, who highlighted the importance of such awareness events and commitment of JIMS towards it. Dr Negi touched many topics related to Alcoholism, healthy liver, liver transplantation etc. He also encouraged students about organ donation and highlighted its importance. Dr Dabas explained about cancer types, myths related to cancer, early symptoms and need for early detection. Dr Maurya discussed about lung cancer and other problems related to smoking and tobacco consumption. Session was highly interactive. Audience comprising of students of MCA and PGDM raised many queries which were answered by the panel members.
