Creador - The Retail Club of JIMS organized an activity “Inventure - Innovate and Sell” for the students of PGDM, PGDM–International Business and PGDM–Retail Management. It was a fun cum learning based activity which was organized with the objective of bringing out creatively students’ awareness level about product /service which has existence / non-existence in today’s world. This activity focused on ‘out of the box thinking’ among the students. The participants (5 members team) had to innovate a product / service which is non-existent today. The concept was informed to the teams beforehand. On the day of the activity, the participating teams came out with their innovative ideas and presented the same on the basis of the props and posters to the jury and audience. The activity comprised of 2 rounds. The first round was “Innovate” wherein the teams were asked to Innovate the product / service /concept which is non-existent currently. The second round was “Sell” in which the teams had to sell the same product /service /concept /idea to the jury and audience through presentation and other innovative ways. It was an open forum for discussion among sellers, jury and audience.
Total 11 teams participated in the activity. The Jury members Prof. Sanjeev Saxena, Prof. A.R. Mishra and Dr. Navneet Joshi selected the top three teams on the basis of parameters such as innovation, creativity, feasibility of idea/concept, selling skills and presentation skills. All the teams were well prepared with their idea and concept and handled the bombarding of questions from Jury members and the audience in an excellent manner. The winners and runners up were awarded with certificates and Prizes.
