On January 25, 2025, the Department of Information Technology hosted Techbytes25 with the theme “New Paradigms in Business Intelligence.” This one-day event brought together academics, industry professionals, and students to explore the latest trends in business intelligence and its real-world applications.
The event kicked off at 9:30 AM with smooth registration as attendees eagerly collected their materials and prepared for the day ahead. At 10:00 AM, the formal ceremony began with a traditional lamp-lighting and Saraswati vandana, symbolizing the illumination of knowledge. Faculty members and guest speakers led this inspiring moment, setting the tone for a day focused on learning and innovation.
Dr. Manjot Kaur Bhatia, Professor and convenor welcomed guests with saplings. Dr. Praveen Arora, the principal, gave an inspiring welcome address, emphasizing the growing importance of business intelligence in today’s rapidly changing business environment. The first speaker, Mr. Vaibhav Gupta, CEO and Co-founder of Rein Games Private Limited, delivered an insightful presentation on Industry Expectations. He discussed the role of data analytics and intelligence in staying competitive, particularly in the gaming industry. His talk resonated deeply with the students, providing valuable perspectives on how companies use data to innovate and understand customer behavior.
Next, Mr. Gaurav Pandey, Senior Software Engineer at InnovationM, took the stage for a technical session on Cloud Platforms: Azure and Azure Synapse as a Data Warehouse Solution. He demonstrated how cloud technologies are transforming data management and analytics, with Azure Synapse emerging as a key tool for enterprises. The session was a hit with both students and faculty, offering a clear understanding of cloud platforms’ impact on the future of business intelligence. Dr. Praveen Arora then honored the speakers with mementos, followed by a break from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM, where participants enjoyed a delicious meal and reflected on the sessions thus far. At 11:20 AM, the institution’s magazine, Insight, was officially launched. The publication featured contributions from both students and faculty, exploring emerging trends in business intelligence.
Mr. Gaurav Singh, Senior Consultant at Centric Consulting, led the second technical session, diving into Data Visualization and Tools, with a special focus on Power BI. His engaging talk explored how organizations use data visualization to extract meaningful insights from complex data sets.The final session was led by Dr. Siddharth Dawar, Associate Manager at Accenture, who presented Unlocking Your AI Potential: A Career Roadmap. Dr. Dawar discussed the growing relevance of artificial intelligence across industries and provided actionable advice for students aiming to pursue careers in AI. His session left participants motivated to explore the many opportunities in this exciting field. Dr Chena Laroiya presented a token of remembrances to the guest speakers.
Throughout the day, students actively engaged in Q&A sessions, asking insightful questions about cloud platforms, data visualization tools, and career opportunities in data science. These discussions added depth to the event and fostered a dynamic exchange of ideas.Overall, Techbytes25 was a well-executed and impactful event. Each session offered unique insights that blended technical expertise with practical advice, and the release of Insight added further value. The day also provided ample networking opportunities, leaving participants with a deeper understanding of business intelligence and the inspiration to apply their newfound knowledge in their careers. Techbytes25 successfully bridged the gap between academia and industry, making it a memorable and enriching experience for everyone involved.

- To provide students a exposure to Industry culture.
- They get a chance to know the technologies and tools in the Industry, get an opportunity to correlate what they are studying as a part of their curriculum to their implications in the industry.
- To give them an idea of about various responsibilities they could take up in future.
- Also students get connected with the industry experts, are guided by them on various certification as an Industry mentor.
As a part of this symposium we release our magazine “Insight” which is compilation of various article which comply to the theme of the symposium that year. This is the outcome of sincere effort of our students.
Learning Outcomes:
The event gave a platform for the students where they could interact with experts from Industry and their alumni too to gain insight on the corporate culture. They get innovative ideas from industry people to dig deep into their minor projects. As an outcome the tech community continues to evolve and innovate, events like these serve as vital platforms for knowledge-sharing and collaboration.
