Objective of the Event: To shortlist talented and enthusiastic students who are passionate about innovation
and creativity.
JIMS IIC organized Student council members – Recruitment (under Institution’s Innovation Council) held
on 11th September, 2024, interviews conducted for Ist Year students interested in joining the council. The
recruitment process for the IIC was designed to shortlist talented and enthusiastic students who are
passionate about innovation, creativity, and problem solving.
To kick start the recruitment process, the JIMS IIC initiated a comprehensive promotional campaign to
create awareness among students. This campaign included:
- Posters circulated around all the groups digitally
- Information provided via announcements by the council members and faculty for in-depth
understanding
The heart of the recruitment process was the online application phase, where students had the opportunity
to express their interest in joining the IIC. The application form solicited the following information:
- Personal details, including name, contact information, and programme.
- Extracurricular involvement and leadership roles.
- A statement of purpose outlining their motivation to join the club and any relevant experiences.
The most critical phase of the recruitment process involved panel interviews conducted by four teams, each
consisting of experienced club executives and faculty advisors. These interviews were designed to
thoroughly assess candidates based on key criteria:
- Passion and Enthusiasm: Candidates' genuine interest in innovation, creativity, and problem solving
were assessed.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Their ability to think critically and provide creative solutions to real-world
challenges was evaluated.
- Communication Skills: The clarity and effectiveness of their communication were crucial.
- Teamwork and Collaboration: Candidates' ability to work harmoniously in a team and their
potential for contributing positively to the club's activities were assessed.
Outcome of the Event: Student council members develop leadership skills, such as communication,
teamwork, organization & public speaking.
