Institution Innovation Council conducted an online session on “Guiding Framework for Creating and Engaging Trained Faculty & Student IIC Members Innovation Ambassador (IA) in IIC Institutions and Rewarding Mechanism for IA’s” on 29th July 2024 from 11:00 a.m. onwards. Mr. Dipan Sahu, National Coordinator - NISP, IIC & ARIIA, MBA/PGDM in IEV Program, MHRD's Innovation Cell, AICTE was the eminent speaker of the session. He discussed about Strategies and governance for promoting entrepreneurship, Norms for students and faculty driven start-ups, Incubation and pre-incubation support, Incentives & rewards for students and faculty pursuing innovation and start-ups and IP ownership and equity/ revenue sharing mechanisms The Institution's Innovation Council (IIC) aims to foster an innovative mindset and entrepreneurial culture among faculty and students. This report outlines a comprehensive framework for creating and engaging trained IIC members, ensuring they are well equipped to drive innovation and entrepreneurship within their institution.
The success of the Institution's Innovation Council relies heavily on the effective creation and engagement of trained faculty and student members. By following this guiding framework, institutions can cultivate a vibrant innovation ecosystem, fostering creativity, collaboration, and entrepreneurial spirit among their members. Continuous learning, mentorship, industry exposure, and recognition are key elements in this journey towards excellence in innovation and entrepreneurship.
The session highlighted about the National innovation and start up policy (NISP) and its benefits for students and faculty who have innovative ideas that can be scalable and marketable. The session also discussed about the Intellectual Property Right (IPR). Overall, it was a great session and it did motivate many students to enter the entrepreneurial field.
