JIMS IIC hosted the IIC session on "Angel investment/VC Funding Opportunity for Early Stage Entrepreneurs" on August 23, 2024, from 11:00AM onwards. The event was conducted through offline mode and attended by faculty staff and students of JIMS.
The session was started with welcoming of Our Resource Person, Mr. Shivam Ahuja, Founder-Skill Circle. He delivered a valuable session on Angel investment and Venture Capital. Many Students are keen to set up their own business. They have skills to conceive ideas for state ups but lack Financing or arranging capital for the business. This issue was addressed by Mr. Shivam Ahuja during the session.
He started the session by explaining the need for venture capital. He explained the difference between Angel investment and Venture Capital. The session was carried forward by Explaining the Process of Venture capital and stages of financing. He also shared the most common mistakes being made by unsuccessful start-ups.
Participants, comprising over 52 students and 10 faculty members, benefited significantly from the event. The session was very interactive and the students asked their queries related to setting up of start-ups and their funds requirements. Students attended the session with great zeal. They had a good understanding of financing options for their start-ups. They were apprised of the need for angle investors in our economy and how to make a profitable venture. The session concluded with a vote of Thanks to our resource Person Mr. Shivam Ahuja.
Objective: The primary objectives of the webinar were threefold: to educate students about various funding options, particularly angel investment and venture capital, to create awareness about strategic financial planning, and to facilitate direct interaction between students and the expert speaker.
