Tijendra Sharma from Time Education Pvt. Ltd. He is an MBA and Science graduate having
more than 20 years of experience and has trained students for exams like CAT, XAT, GMAT,
NMAT and for govt. jobs like SSC, Bank PO etc.
Objectives:
The primary learning objectives of the workshop were:
- To familiarize participants with common quantitative aptitude questions used in
competitive exams and job interviews.
- To develop efficient problem-solving techniques to solve quantitative questions quickly
and accurately.
- To teach participants time management strategies for quantitative sections in timed
assessments.
- To increase participants’ confidence in tackling complex numerical and logical
challenges.
Address by resource person:
The session commenced with an address by the resource person, Mr. Tijendra Sharma who is an
expert in mathematics and quantitative reasoning with extensive experience in training students
for competitive exams like GRE, GMAT, CAT, and government recruitment exams.
The speaker began by highlighting the increasing importance of quantitative aptitude in various
fields, from business to engineering and finance. Quantitative aptitude is a key component of
most standardized tests, and it also plays a critical role in decision-making processes in
professional environments.
The speaker explained that mastering quantitative aptitude is not just about knowing
mathematical concepts, but also about applying the right techniques under pressure. They shared
various shortcuts and mental math strategies for solving typical problems related to percentages,
ratios, profit and loss, simple and compound interest, time and work, and data interpretation.
The speaker also discussed the importance of logical thinking and how a structured approach can
lead to accurate and quick solutions. Through live problem-solving sessions, they demonstrated
how participants could improve their performance by avoiding common mistakes and using
strategic elimination methods.
Learning Outcomes:
The participants were able to:
- Have Stronger Understanding of Quantitative Concepts: Participants gained a solid
understanding of core mathematical concepts, including arithmetic, algebra, geometry,
and data interpretation. This deeper knowledge provided a foundation for solving more
complex quantitative problems.
- Improved Problem-Solving Skills: The attendees learned a variety of techniques and
shortcuts to tackle quantitative aptitude questions with greater speed and accuracy. They
were able to apply mental math techniques and efficient problem-solving strategies to
real-time exercises.
- Increased Confidence in Handling Quantitative Challenges: Participants left with
increased confidence in their ability to handle challenging quantitative problems in both
competitive exams and real-world situations, armed with practical strategies to overcome
obstacles.
