PGDM-International Business, JIMS Rohini organised a guest session on 16th Aug 2024 on the topic “Demand Forecasting”. The session was delivered by Mr. Ankit Prabhakar, Territory Sales Manager, Fedex, Riyad, Saudi Arabia. Mr. Prabhakar is an alumnus of PGDM IB (2014-16). The session offered an in-depth look into modern demand forecasting techniques. The session focussed on the integration of data analytics with traditional methods of demand and sales forecasting. He enumerated various modern techniques being used by global firms for sales forecasting.
Mr. Ankit addressed a wide range of questions, from the basics of forecasting models to the nuances of handling unpredictable market conditions. The discussion provided practical advice on overcoming common challenges and leveraging technology to improve forecasting outcomes.
