Introduction:<
The National Service Scheme (NSS) Club of JIMS Rohini visited Bharat Mandapam from 27th to 29th October,2023 in the groups of 10 students each day. On 27 – 29th October, 2023 students gathered at ITO metro station at 9:00AM and attended the event till 3:00PM. This event educated our
volunteers on strengthening the India’s position as a developer, manufacturer, and exporter of key-cutting edge technologies.
Event Highlights:<
- On 27th October, 2023, the Prime Minister inaugurated the 7th Edition of India Mobile Congress in exhibition hall 5 and took a walkthrough. He engaged with representatives from prominent telecommunication companies, including Akash Ambani, the Chairman of Reliance Jio
Infocomm Ltd.

Prime Minister spoke on the occasion giving insights of the event and
promoting India Mobile Congress (IMC). Industry leaders also showcased their contribution in strengthening India’s position in the IT sector.

Our Volunteers got engaged in sessions which were focused on developing ecosystems and the role of policy, and Fostering Small and medium businesses in the new digital era to achieve the Sustainable
Development Goals (SDG’s).
- In the 7th edition of IMC, the main focus was squarely on the
transformative potential of AI particularly for B2B sectors. AI has transitioned from being a supplementary tool to a core strategy component in B2B sectors. Students were exposed to an entirely novel aspect of
artificial intelligence which is expected to aid them in their future pursuits and foster innovative thinking.
- Students tried out a 3D virtual reality headset at India Mobile Congress 2023 which gave them experience of technological advancements and various industrial sector units.
- Students experienced the largest telecom, media, and technology forum in Asia with the theme ‘Global Digital Innovation’. India has become one of the top 3 startup ecosystems in the world and students got to experience that in detail on how well organised it is and what impact does IMC
actually make.
- The final day of India Mobile Congress 2023 witnessed participation from industry leaders with key focus on meeting India’s
Telecommunications needs, Network evolution beyond 5G, standardization for 6G, 6G RAN and Devices, Applications and Digitization, Evolution of AI, Future of Networks etc.
Conclusion:
Volunteering at the India Mobile Congress 2023 proved to be a dynamic immersion into the forefront of mobile technology. Interacting with industry leaders, facilitating seamless logistics, and navigating through cutting-edge innovations offered a hands-on experience in the evolving landscape of telecommunications. This engagement not only toned my project management and technical communication skills but also afforded a firsthand understanding of the pivotal role such events play in shaping the trajectory of technological advancements in India.
