JIMS Rohini, Sec-5, organized a workshop on “Getting Ready: Journey from Campus to Corporate” facilitated by Prof. SC Kapoor. The workshop aimed to equip students with the necessary skills to transition from campus life to the corporate world successfully.
The seminar began with Prof. SC Kapoor introducing himself and sharing his experiences in the corporate world. He emphasized the importance of being proactive and adaptable in the corporate world. He also highlighted the need for students to develop their soft skills such as communication, teamwork, and leadership. He also discussed the various aspects of corporate life. He talked about the importance of networking, building relationships, and maintaining a positive attitude. He also shared some tips on how to prepare for job interviews and how to make a good impression on potential employers.
Prof. S. C. Kapoor's program was an outstanding success in terms of motivation. He orchestrated a series of engaging activities for the students pursuing BCA and BBA programs. One of the highlights was a motivational video featuring Lord Krishna. After watching the video, students were prompted to reflect on their key takeaways, and the most insightful response earned a well-deserved reward.
In another stimulating activity, students were presented with a sheet containing a series of questions. What made this task unique was that, unbeknownst to the participants, the instructions provided specific question numbers that they were required to answer. Notably, most students diligently attempted to answer all questions without initially consulting the instructions, inadvertently overlooking the specified questions
The grand finale of the session was the recognition of excellence. Four outstanding students were singled out as the star performers, demonstrating their exceptional engagement and aptitude throughout the program. Prof. S. C. Kapoor's approach to motivation and interactive learning undoubtedly left a lasting impact, underlining the importance of effective communication and critical thinking in the academic journey of BCA and BBA students.
