Objective:
To conduct a voter awareness campaign at JIMS to inform and educate students about the process of obtaining voter ID cards.
To raise awareness among students about the importance and significance of having a voter ID card for participating in democratic processes.
To facilitate and guide students through the steps involved in applying for and obtaining their voter ID cards.
To encourage active participation and civic engagement among students by empowering them with the knowledge and resources to exercise their right to vote.
Brief about the event:
Electoral Literacy Club of JIMS organized Voter Awareness Campaign on "Mera Pehla Vote, Desh ke liye " on 20th-21st February, 2023 at 11 am in all classes.
A voter awareness event focused on making voter ID cards typically aims to increase voter registration and ensure that eligible students have the necessary identification to participate in elections.
The event was successfully conducted by the entire team of ELC-JIMS. Special regards to the faculty Coordinator, Mr. Devesh Lowe. A vote of thanks to student coordinators Aastha Bhatia, Ishita Sachdeva , Ananya Arora, and Elisha Chophla who worked under his guidance to make the event a success .
Learning Outcomes:
Students became well versed with the Electoral process and would exercise in making their voter ID.
