Patriotic Club of JIMS organized an Open Mic competition and Caricature on the occasion of “No Smoking Day”. The event was conducted in the college premises on 18th March, 2024 at 12 pm in Room B-302 and at Nescafe. More than 35 students participated in both the evnts and it was concluded with the results announcements the same day.
Objective:
- To make students aware about dangerous effects of smoking.
- To spread awareness about health concerns and how Smoking can effect our mind and soul
- Generation Z need the other people to make them understand how they are ruining their life with either active or passive Smoking both the types are dangerous for all
Brief about the event:
Open Mic: Students from all the courses have participated in the event in order to showcase their speaking skills and to speak their heart out about how smoking can affect one’s life with its hazardous effects.Also many students discussed and took examples of the concerns realted to the government involvemnets and how it is affecting the environment overall
Also students discussed about the data points regarding the market share and which generation is more into the active or passive smoking
Caricature: As picture speaks louder than the words, students have showcased their talent of art through caricature portrayed their views very gracefully on the topic No Smoking.This event did justice with the students focussing in how they can portrait the with the usage of smoking people are effecting their health and mind
The event was successfully conducted by the entire team of Patriotic Club of JIMS. Special regards to the faculty Coordinator, Ms. Bhavna Galhotra and Mr Ankur Tayal . A vote of thanks was delivered with the prize distribution to the winners .
