JIMS Rohini Organized Women's Wellbeing-Health wellness talk


About the event:

The “Women's Wellbeing-Health wellness talk" is a unique and insightful session aimed at promoting women's health, well-being, and awareness. We understand the importance of women's health and the need for open and informed discussions about it. This event is an opportunity for our women to engage in meaningful conversations, gain knowledge, and ask questions related to gynecological health and wellness.


Objectives of the event:

  • Increase awareness of women's health and well-being.
  • Empower students with knowledge about their health and debunk myths.
  • Encourage active participation and engagement among female students through interactive sessions and discussions.

Event Report:

The Gender Championship Club in collaboration with IAQC and NSS hosted a Women's Wellbeing and Health Wellness Talk by Dr. Manjusha Goel, an Obstetrician and Gynecologist from CK Birla Hospital, Punjabi Bagh, on October 5, 2023. This insightful session delved into various crucial aspects of women's health, covering topics such as vaginal discharge, menstrual cycles, PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome), menstrual health, urinary tract infections, sexual health, anemia symptoms, dietary choices, HPV vaccine, cervical cancer, contraception, maternal health, breast self-examination, breast cancer screening, and menopause.

Dr. Manjusha Goel also highlighted the importance of using disposable pads, their proper disposal, and addressed potential long-term complications of PCOS. The session was particularly focused on raising awareness about sensitive aspects of female health. It witnessed active participation from 84 students enrolled in BBA, BCA, and MCA programs. The event concluded with an engaging Q&A session.
