JIMS Rohini Organized IIC Celebration Activity


Objective

  • To lay the advantages of Science Day
  • To improve thinking and public speaking skills of the students
  • Promotes critical thinking and quick decision-making.
  • Encourages authentic connection with the audience through natural delivery.

The event started with IIC Introduction on the Science Day (Extempore Activity) which had maximum participation wherein the students learnt and improve their communication and thinking skills by extempore. Participants were randomly assigned topics and given a limited time to prepare before presenting their impromptu speeches. Judges evaluated presentations based on coherence, clarity, and persuasiveness. The participants exhibited remarkable wit and creativity in addressing diverse topics, ranging from current affairs to philosophical dilemmas. The event successfully provided a platform for participants to enhance their improvisational speaking abilities and fostered a spirit of healthy competition.


Learning Outcomes

This session helped the curious minds of students to learn and grow more and also helped them by understanding the Science Day (Extempore Activity). Extempore learning is a spontaneous and unscripted form of education where individuals engage in learning activities without prior preparation or planning. This approach fosters quick thinking, adaptability, and the ability to articulate ideas on the spot. The outcome of extempore learning is multifaceted. Firstly, it enhances critical thinking skills as learners must analyse information rapidly and form coherent arguments or responses. Additionally, it cultivates effective communication skills, as participants must convey their thoughts clearly and persuasively.
