The Cultural Club of JIMS organized FOOD FIESTA on 17 April 2023. Students of all courses i.e., BBA, BCA, B.A. Eco (H) , MCA took part in the explicative event.
Objective:
- To showcase and celebrate different types of cuisine, culinary traditions, and food cultures from various regions around the world.
- Brings together food enthusiasts, chefs to provide attendees with a diverse range of food options to taste, sample, and enjoy.
- To let students, enjoy and engage with their mates in college.
The Event A food fiesta was celebrated to have a variety of foods from different cultures and regions keeping G20 in mind. FOOD FIESTA 2023 was conducted to celebrate food, flavours and culture. A good number of responses were received from the students for this event. The event started with students preparing their stalls and their food to sell. After decorating and preparing their food and booth the students started selling their food by engaging with faculties and students as their customers. The Food Fest offered attendees the opportunity to taste and experience a wide variety of cuisines, from traditional dishes to contemporary fusion creations. In addition to food, the food fest also included activities such as cooking, cooking demonstrations, music, and other entertainment. It was an engaging, great and social way for people to explore and try new foods, and to connect with others. The students made great sales and the stalls with the highest collection of money was awarded and appreciated.
It was indeed a great experience to watch such creative and talented students. The event was entertaining as well as full of colours and festivity.
Learning Outcomes:
- This activity introduced attendees to new and diverse cuisines from around the world, allowing them to learn about different cultures and traditions. Also to learn about the business side of the food industry, such as marketing, sales, and product development. Promotes community engagement and social connection.
