19th Annual IT Symposium TECHBYTE 2K22 was organised on 12th Nov, 2022, Saturday. Students of MCA 1st year were part of the explicative programme.
Presentation and address by Resource Person:
The event started with the inaugural ceremony. Dean IP affiliated programmes Dr. Praveen Arora offered the welcome address. Session was graced by two guest speakers from corporate, Dr. Askok kumar Sangwan Head-Program Management Office
(PMO) at Wipro Limited and Mr. Amit Balyan. Inaugral Technical Account Manager Asia Pacific at Sklyline Communications session was followed by a format vote of thanks.
Guests discussed about the growth and innovations in IT industry. How blockchain is enforcing security and how data analytics is customizing the e-commerce platforms.
Inaugural session was followed by the Technical session.
Technical session was glorified by 2 resource persons.
Our guest Mr. Pravesh Tayal Technical Leader, Nokia,Bangalore, India is MSc from JNU. He stressed on the subject knowledge. He emphacised that students should not only learn one tool rather he /she should work on basics. Programming language is important and it is important for students to have a good logic writing skill. Sir discussed about the technical aspects of 5G.
Next resource person Ms. Aakriti Kakkar Technical Leader, GSPANN Technologies, Delhi has given students a complete demo on the testing automation tools selenium. Also many more tools were discussed like Bitbucket, Jira etc. Also she discussed the corporate work culture and importance of deadlines. She concluded on the note that a good tester is equally good programmer.
Technical transformation was followed by a vote of thanks.
Objective:
1. To provide students with the Industry inputs which would help them in their projects.
2. They get a chance to correlate what they are studying as a part of their curriculum and how those concepts are used in the Industry.
3. To give them an idea of about various role possible in different organizations where they can plan their career.
4. Also students remain in contact with the experts and they guide them on various certification as an Industry mentor.
As a part of this symposium we release our magazine “Insight” which is compilation of various article which comply to the theme of the symposium that year. This is the outcome of sincere effort of our students and their faculty mentor.
Learning Outcomes:
The event gave a wonderful platform to the students where they could interact with experts from Industry and their alumni too to gain insight on the corporate culture. Students interact college alumni and get guidance on thei desired career path. They have got interesting ideas from industry people to dig deep into their projects which they have just started as a part of their 1st semester curriculum.
