Venturing on a new path can be sometimes nerve-wrecking; a student can find himself lost with a plethora of doubts stacked up in his head. A mentor or rather an Alumnus who has already designed his own path could be the best guide for such a soul. PGDM-International Business, JIMS Rohini invited few alumni for an interaction with first year students and provided them an opportunity to collect valuable information from alumni about various career tracks. Local alumni from class years shared their experience after entering into the corporate world.
Ms Sakshi Pandey is a sales specialist in the corporate world across the globe working with highly reputed organisations like Fedex, Ebesco and currently working as a sales manager and business development at LSInextZen . The second alumni for the day, Mr Tanamy Middha of batch 2011-13 has almost 10 years of experience working with different profiles like National Account Manager, senior manager, assistant manager in established firms like American express, pine labs, Vodafane and currently working as Strategic accounting manager-north and east India with Infobip.
Both the alumni shared their journey and also helped in understanding how one should approach for an internship. The students even asked questions about hard core sales, marketing and International Business to which these alumnus enthusiastically took up the queries. They cleared the misconception of students towards sales and marketing, they walked them through B2B and B2C regarding career paths and with a great experience they handled the session in a very friendly manner.
This session was interactive, inspirational, and educational for students and they were also eager to put forward their doubts and concern in front of the alumni.
