On October 10th, 2022, JIMS Rohini organized a training session on “First Impression” by Frank Finn training institute for the PGDM batch 2022-24. The resource person was Ms. Santosh, Frankfinn Senior Trainer on Personality Development. This session gave all the details needed for creating a great first impression and how it will improve one’s confidence to make a great first impression.
First impressions are made up of 7% the words one says, 38% the tone one uses and 55% of the non-verbal behavior. The key to making a good first impression is to look confident, relaxed and at ease with others. Ms. Santosh gave tips on how to introduce oneself while having direct eye contact with others.
She also paid emphasis on the importance of soft skills; a report from Deloitte Access Economics says 63% of all jobs will have soft skills based incentive by 2030, the wall street journal says 92% of executives say that soft skills are equally important or more important than technical skills and 89% of executives says that it is difficult to find people with soft skills.
