JIMS Rohini organised a guest lecture on 'Understanding the dynamics of individuals and team behaviour in the retail sector' for the first-year PDGM RM students on 20th, august 2022. The session aimed to give an insight into the requirements of the industry from a PGDM graduate. The speaker for the session was Ms Srishti Sharma, alumnus JIMS Rohini with over 9 years of experience in HR, having handled various HR roles with exposure to conceptualizing HR measures and operating procedures. She is currently working as a People Analytics Manager and has previously worked with Shoppers Stop Ltd. as unit HR head.
The session began with a round of cross introductions aiming to understand how others perceive you, your personality and your traits, which helped students understand the importance of aspects like Personality, Perception, and values to decipher, of an individual's behaviour. She then stated some of her past experiences to elaborate on the above aspects and made us understand how and when to react in situations in a way which is best for your business, clients and your employees.
To cap the session, Ms Sharma enlightened the students on some key aspects in order to succeed in the retail manager's role as an HR head keeping in mind the dynamic nature of an individual's behaviour.
