The Academic Club organized the Word War event on 18th May 2022. WORD-WAR was basically an event where the participants try to imitate the united-nations procedure to find the solutions to the real-world problems and get familiar with the global issues. The participants work as a representative of a country and solve a motion with their fellow delegates. They get to establish and flourish skills like public speaking, rigorous research, debating, critical thinking and balanced team work.
The event was hosted, moderated and coordinated by the Student Coordinators Ruchi Dua and Parth Aggarwal; and participants included Priyanshu Mehta, Mansi Bisht, Harshit goyal, Ritika Singh, Rahul Gauniyal, Jessica Puri, Yukti Gupta, Vaibhav Gupta, Gaurav Arora, Dhairya Kharbanda who represented Russia, Ukraine, Finland, U.S.A, Germany, Belarus, United Kingdom, France, China, India respectively. The event proceeded by the moderator providing each delegate to put their points forward on RUSSIA-UKRAINE WAR in a set time frame of 90 seconds each and then starting a motion on “Should Ukraine join NATO?” the countries then debated upon the same.
The winners Priyanshu Mehta (BCA 2nd Sem, 2nd Shift) - Russia 1st position and Mansi Bisht (BBA, 2nd Sem, 1st Shift) 2nd position were decided upon the basis of their speaking skills, debating skills and how spontaneous, smooth and sound they were throughout.
The event wrapped up with awarding the winners and acknowledging the participants as well a vote of thanks to the faculty and the team.
