A 2 day online MDP on ‘Equal Opportunity & Equality at Workplace’ was successfully conducted for the (Female) officers/engineers of Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd from 28th-29th March, 2022.
The sessions focused on understanding gender specific issues faced by the participants during their workhours and how to overcome the barriers created by these biases.
Discussions related to career advancement, glass ceiling and their aftereffects were openly expressed. The sessions facilitated the participants on how to handle such issues and resolve them for a better professional life.
The participants were encouraged to gain self-understanding of emotions and how to leverage it in promoting gender equality in their organization. Innovative HR practices were also discussed which could help in reducing biasness at workplace and create a healthy gender inclusive work culture.
Communication is a powerful tool which can enable us to respond appropriately during gender sensitive conversations. The session on communication highlighted the mentioned aspect and was very well received by the participants.
Overall it was a very interactive program where all the participants discussed their issues and concerns and showed great interest in understanding how to be part of an all-inclusive work culture.
