The session started with the speaker asking the question about what do you want to become, a job taker or job seeker, and he also shared insight into how a strong IPR Laws paves the way for FDI (Foreign Direct Investment), and how the lack of awareness related to IPR Laws makes it complicated not only for MNC trying to enter the Indian market but also for the law-abiding agency to. As the session proceeded the speaker talked about how we can protect Intangible assets (Ideas, Innovation, Concepts, Design, Literature, etc). Then we got to know what Patent, Copyrights, Trademark, SICL-D, and Geographical Indication Means (GI No.). There were several examples given - how persons with ages less than 20 having innovative ideas and how they are patenting those ideas like Tenith Aditya, he is a 15yrs old boy, who came up with the idea of Biomaterial made from Natural Leaves (cellular enhancement technique) to reduce the reliability on the plastic product, another boy named Gursimaran Singh, he is a 16 yrs. old boy, who has developed “Eye Scribe” which is a word to voice conversion technology, further speaker talked about how Indians due to lack of awareness innovate the product but do not patent it and which leads to the copying of ideas and the original inventor doesn't get the credit, but now that the government of India is making the efforts to enable people to know about what is Intellectual Property and how one can protect it from others to use it without giving you the credit which you deserve.

Intellectual property protection is critical to fostering innovation. Without the protection of ideas, individuals and companies would not reap the full benefits of their inventions and would focus less on research and development. An expert talk was organized to educate students about Intellectual Property Rights, patents, trademarks, and copyrights and how one can apply for them, and procedure to do so and to encourage inventive skills in students for becoming a better innovators

At the end, the speaker took a short and fun quiz. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the quiz and actively participated.

It was a good learning experience. The session turned out to be an interesting session
