IIC, JIMS Rohini organized Smart Hackathon-2022

JIMS Smart Hackathon was conducted by Institution’s Innovation Council JIMS ROHINI on 14^th and 15^th March 2022, in JIMS Auditorium. All the student council members took up various responsibilities starting from IT coordination, anchoring to discipline, refreshment management, guest escorting etc.

The session was fully packed with dignitaries and IIC faculty heads.

The Chief Guest for the Hackathon was- Dr. Sonal Yadav -Regional Consultant AICTE (MIC), MOE, GOI)

The Experts who guided and facilitated the teams in their workings were-

Prof. Arun Sharma- Professor and Head Dept of Artificial Intelligence, IGDTUW Dean Examination Affairs.
Dr. Sanjib Kumar Sahu- DY Controller of Examinations IGDTUW
Mr. Sumit Kumar Shukla- Founder and Director at the Analytix (Theax)
Mr. Aniruddha Khandwe- Cyber Security Engineer at Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment
Mr. Akash Pandey- DevOps Engineer at Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment and Former Software Developer Intern At AICTE (Ministry of Education) ; Member of Executive Council of CIEI
Mr. Manas Srivastava- Domain Expert at Chamber of Innovators & Entrepreneurs in India; Tech Advisor at AICTE MIC Cell and Co-Founder at Citizenchoice
Total 18 internal tech faculties of the institute were also the part of panels

The esteemed Guests for the Hackathon were-

Mr. Ajay Singh Rajawat- Secretary General CIEI
Dr. Moumita Das- Assistant Director at the National Centre for Innovation in Distance Education, IGNOU.

There were total 30 teams (6 team members in each team) participating from PGDM, MCA, BA ECO. (H) BBA and BCA. All the participants presented their pitch and were evaluated thrice in total for both the days. The experts visited every team individually to evaluate and give them a feedback and suggestions for improvement. The students were given a fair chance to work on the suggestions and present their pitches again the next day. The creamiest ideas came out of the minds of participants. There was a complete marathon of brainstorming sessions conducted among the team members and experts which lead to betterment of the ideas. It was a pool of learnings and an excellent opportunity for all the participants to put their minds together and develop solutions for some major problems.

Adequate arrangements were made for High tea; Lunch and evening tea on both of the days and all the needs of Guests, Experts and all the participants were taken care of.

The students were brimming with knowledge and confidence and were critically evaluated by the panel of guests and experts. The winning teams were Team Hidden Leaves and Team Idealist. There were 7 more teams who were selected to grind further with their ideas and go forward in one more round.

All the participants and IIC student council team members were distributed certificates of participation and appreciation by our respected dignitaries.

Last but not the least heartfelt thanks to IIC Faculty heads for making this event happen at the first place.
