On 27th November,2021 Institution’s Innovation Council, JIMS Rohini Sector-5 gave an excellent opportunity to their students to attend a great event with some great speakers at UIncept, M3M Cosmopolitan, Gurugram. This event consisted of 3 sessions with 5 extremely talented speakers.
The event started with the very productive session of Addison Appu, Vice President of Thinkuvate and Shiva Shankar, Vice President of Ankur Capital Fund on the topic of Investment Pitch and Storytelling. This session taught students the Investment lifecycle for a Start-ups, how to do a storytelling in front of Investors and how to pitch your ideas. The speakers shared their experience and advised everyone that you have to be a Makeshifter in the initial phase of your start-up and you must have a very good team. The second Speaker of this session explained about the financial projection of any business, how to raise the funds and how to divide your funds.
Moving towards the second session, Students got a chance to interact with Mr. Arif Amirani, Co-founder of CTO MetroGuild. He talked about Customer Relationship Management in which audience asked him about how to make your customer believe on your product in initial stages of any start-ups. He also gave example of some companies like Law Firm in US, B2C Auto Company, Agri-Commerce Company which uses CRM tool.
Last session of the evening was with Mr. Ankur Goel, founder and CEO of Skwerup Capital Partners and Ms. Sonal Bali Agarwal, Co-founder of Meteor Venture on the topic of Business Financials and Projections. They talked about Shareholding, Bootstrapping, Angel Investors and many more things about Business. Ms. Sonal shared her thought on how to raise funds and increase the valuation of the company. They also provided students with method of valuing money which are asset method, DCF method, Relative valuation method.
The students were completely motivated by these sessions and have gained a lot of knowledge about market, start-ups, and investments. It was a very interesting and knowledgeable event and students will be looking forward for more such sessions.
