The seminar began with an Inaugural ceremony and an opening address by Dr. Pooja Jain; Director, JIMS Rohini to welcome the guests and brief the audience for the day. Post which, the first session for the day on the Marketing theme was put into action.
Track 1: Marketing - What’s next: Navigating the new marketing landscape

The guest speakers were invited upon the stage and felicitated with saplings as a welcome gift. The session circled around the topic of how companies are trying to get back on their feet and how marketers are now using the current scenario to their advantage and tapping into new markets.
The discussion started off with the question of the difference between risk and uncertainty in the current scenario to which the panelists said learning to synthesize the data is a necessity in current times. The second topic for the discussion was the Threat of international funds surpassing domestic funds. The discussion took a turn and the speakers had a discussion on Omni-channel and the panelists stated that quality is the drive for an ROI. The discussion ended with a poll among panelists on “What is going to be the next buzzword.”
Towards the end, a Q&A session was conducted and the students were awarded for best three questions as selected by the session Moderator. The session was concluded with presenting mementos to all the speakers. A vote of thanks was delivered by the anchors.
Track 2: Workplace Practices - Future of Work and Workplace

The moderator Mr. Abhay Kapoor, who started with the session by introducing of the topic while talking about the workplace, challenges, work environment, economy etc. and he also proposed 5 changes to make any organization future-ready.
Mr. Mohammad took over and mentioned 2 significant factors, Agility and Alignment. He further added, some disadvantages of work from home which were Increased isolation, Risk to productivity, Workplace disconnection, Less face time.”
Mrs. Priya Bhatnagar continued with the challenges which are faced by a company during Covid Pandemic, which are productivity of Employees, induction challenges in an online world, how to assimilate new hires. The biggest challenge during this time she states is how to measure an employee’s productivity while working from home.
Ms. Anisha talked about the challenges that her organization faced during the initial days of covid. The challenges were managing employee’s comfort and anxiety, managing clients, maintaining mental health and maintaining a transparent communication channel.
She believes that “Trust is the key to anything.”
Mr. Mohd then stated that there are a lot of activities that can’t be performed while working from home, so work from the office is very important and better in any way. Then he further mentioned some challenges we will continue to face in future as well while working from home. The possible future that he could predict while watching and judging today’s trend is- “WORK FROM ANYWHERE”

Track 3: Retail Marketing - Redefining Retail: The next round of innovation

The guest speakers were invited upon the stage and felicitated with saplings as a welcome gift. Ms. Bhavna briefed the panelist and audience about the topic. She focused on rapid digitalization and intensive focus on customer data. Ms. Sheetal mentioned a very important concept of circular economy stating this as the way forward. From “Take, Make, Use, Dispose” to “Take, Make, Use, Reuse”
Ms. Sheetal stated how she focused on refining retail, how to survive and thrive. She told how brands are using omnichannel to reach their customers. She concluded by saying that we are moving towards ‘PHYGITAL’ amalgamation of traditional and digitalization. Retail industry is moving towards creating zero inventory stores and are more focused on creating a good instore experience. This is the future of retail.
Mr. Saurabh took over the discussion he added that retail industry is easy to understand but it’s very difficult to imply in the market. He stated that ‘’Technology must be used to solve the what is most important for customer in a much better way”.
Ms. Charneeta talked about how technology is enhancing the market. She mentioned that we have to work with the trends using AR and VR in helping in data collection. Hybrid model is here to stay but at the same time people want to go offline they want that human touch and experience. She stated that experiential retail is very important with the help of human intervention. Physical stores are coming back and are evolving. Technology has a major role to play it’s not only solving problems at digital front but at physical front too. “Internet world and Physical world “are offering more they are moving fast and evolving all these are layered by technology.

The session was concluded by presenting mementos as a token of appreciation to all the speakers. A final vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. Deepika Saxena and the seminar was brought to a close.
