Annual Inter-College Techno Management Cultural Fest, Verve 2K14

Jagan Institute of Management Studies organized its Two Day Annual Inter College Techno Management Cultural Fest- Verve 2k14 at Jagan Institute of Management Studies (JIMS Campus), Sector 5, Rohini on 28th February, 2014 & 1st March 2014.
Colour, music, glitz, glamour, and celebration were all that one could spot at Jagan Institute of Management Studies (JIMS) campus, Rohini. In a bid to promote the hidden talent of the students, Verve 2K14, an Annual Inter College Techno Management Cultural Fest was held as a celebration of the dynamic youth, which also brings together the creativity, intellect and wackiness of youth.
 
Verve 2k14 was a huge success with more than 100 registrations from Pan India. The JIMS Annual Fiesta saw a diverse participation from some of the coveted colleges like New Delhi Institute of Management, Netaji Subhash Institute of Technology, Maharaja Surajmal Institute of Technology, Apeejay School Of Management, Banarasi Das Chandi Wala Institute of Hotel management & Catering (BCIHMCT), Trinity Institute of Professional Studies (TIPS), Dwarka, Tecnia Institute of Advanced Studies, Delhi School of Economics, Vekateshwara College, GIBS, JIMS, Vasant Kunj, JIMS, Vikaspuri and many more.
A number of events and competitions catering to a variety of disciplines such as music, literature, dance, poetry, theatre, fashion and business quiz were a part of this fest.
 
The Day 1 of Verve 2k14 started with the Inaugural Ceremony attended by the dignitaries Prof R. P. Maheshwari, Director General, JIMS; Dr. J.K. Goyal, Director, JIMS; Dr. V.B. Aggarwal, Director- Info Tech; Dr Madan Mohan, Dean, PGDM, JIMS; Dr. Sumesh Raizada, Dean, PGDM - RMM, JIMS; Prof. Ashok Bhagat, PGDM – IB, JIMS and the HODs, faculty, staff from the JIMS Sector 5 and JIMS Sector 3 Campus where the fest was declared open with the enchanting of Saraswati Vandana.
MUSIC, LIGHTS, & GLITERRATI were the only words that sounded and jelled with the fun and glamour at the day First of Verve 2k 14
The first day fiesta highlights were Quiz Bee, Antakshari, Shoot the Mood – On the Spot Film Making, Vicharon ka Matbhed Still Photography, Graffiti Art, Main Bhi Filmy Hoon, Sur Sangam, Web Designing, Word Search – Mind Teaser, Collage Making, Just Dance – Double ka Dhamaka, Let’s Rock- Rock Band Competition Art of Floristy; the Grand Envogue – The Fashion Show and Jam Session.
Drama saw its true colors with Shoot the Mood; Just Dance added colours to the events with the staggering performances on some peppy numbers; Envogue added Glitz and Glamour to the event , VERVE 2k14 Day 1 was a true fashionista quotient.
 
The temperature rose on Day 2 of Verve when King of Punjabi Pop DALER MEHNDI gave the magnificent LIVE performance at the Festival, the Live Concert took the stage, swung the crowd and mesmerized the audience with the mist of music and fervor. The 2nd Day of Verve 2K14 also saw an interesting series of events like Debate, KODE Debugging, Ingenuity – Tatoo Making and Nail Art, Rang Manch – Street Play, Business Plan, Rangoli Competition, Sudoku- Mind Challenge, Talent Unlimited, Jazz up the Floor – Chereography, Foot Loose- Solo Dance, Mr. & Mrs. Verve 2K14
 
The 2nd day of the Carnival was the amalgation of cerebral grilling, eloquent vision, creative palette and euphoric extravaganza.
The people behind the Extravanganza were Ms. Ambika Bhatia, Management Department, JIMS; Ms. Shivani Wadhwa, Management Department, JIMS and Ms. Anshul Garg, Management Department, JIMS;
All students performed exceptionally well in the competitions and showed their skills superbly and were a credit to their colleges.
