Ekyum- the Cultural Club (PGDM) of JIMS is back with a bang! Corona pandemic did not deter the club from organising an exciting Independence Day event in virtual mode. The students were all set to enjoy a lot of amazing competitions which were judged by Dr N.P Singh, Associate Professor, JIMS. The event began with an inspiring speech by our Director, Dr Pooja Jain, followed by a welcome note by Ms Vanshika, saluting the spirit of our courageous freedom fighters, present day Covid warriors that is doctors & hospital staff and essential service workers for showing selflessness and finally our hard working teachers. Each and every one observed silence for the national anthem after which Mr Ishaan, Mr Harshdeep & Ms Sargam, cultural club coordinators, took the event forward & kept the audience engaged with their impeccable anchoring. All the participants were asked to submit their entries of dance, singing, poem, poster beforehand so that they can be displayed on the day of the event. Though all the dance performances were enthralling, it was Shreelakshmi (1st), Deepika (2nd) and Lijet (3rd) who stood out & won the competition. When it came to singing & poetry competition, all the performers sang melodiously but since the best ones had to be chosen, it was Anjali Rawat(1st) Anisha Jhanwar (2nd)& Shreelakshmi (3rd) and Arnav Shreyas (3rd) who bagged the positions. The event ended with the final competition of poster making & it was Shailvi Sharma(1st) Parminder Singh (2nd) and Nabiha Umar(3rd) whose artistic talent impressed everyone the most.
