Innovation cell of JIMS organized 1 day workshop on “Entrepreneurship and Innovation as Career Option” on 24th sep,2019 delivered by Prof H.P. Singh from NIESBUD, Ministry of Skill Development and entrepreneurship, Govt of India.
The event was organized for BBA/BCA/MCA 1 year II shift students who turned out in huge numbers to listen to the lecture. The main key points addressed by the speaker were as follows:
- He instilled students to become job creator instead of becoming job seeker.
- Videos of many budding entrepreneurs were shown which described various starts up they are into like courier services which gave goals to become 100 cr company another video highlighted Ruma Devi who is award winning fashion designer who started on her own and received Nari Shakti Puruskar .
- Third video highlighted students on how to never give up in life and keep trying.
- He also highlighted that opportunities are everywhere but not in books, books contain guidelines only .
- He also suggested students to take small risks in life as entrepreneurship is all about taking risks.
- He also described frog & boiling water story to motivate students.
Overall it was a very innovative and informative session.
