JIMS, Sector-5, Rohini, organized its 25th Annual convocation at India Habitat Centre, Lodhi Road, New Delhi on 16th November, 2019. In the convocation the 2019 passouts of PGDM, PGDM–IB, PGDM–RM, MCA, BBA, BCA received their diplomas and degrees. The Chief Guest of the event was Dr. Fareed Ahmed, Executive Director, Punjab and Sind bank. The academic procession included the Chairman-Mr. Manish Gupta, Governing Board Members -Mr. S P Marwah , Mr. O P Bagla , Mr. Rajeev Gupta along with Academic Advisory Council member –Dr. Pawan Sharma, Director and Deans of the programs. The event was attended by the Faculty members and invited Guests and Parents. The convocation opened with a floral tribute to Late Sh. Jagan Nath Guptaji, lamp lighting and seeking the blessings of goddess Saraswati.
Dr. Pooja, Director JIMS addressed the students that their journey of learning does not end here They need to continuously learn. And the most significant thing is their ability to accept learning from anybody including their juniors. One should develop adaptability to different situations and develop new skill-sets through learning and increase their knowledge. She wished all the best to the students for their future endeavours.
The Chief Guest, Dr. Fareed Ahmed addressed students that convocation is not only a very proud moment for them but it also becomes the time to start shouldering responsibilities for building oneself and nation. He said that this is the beginning of the real journey of life, so it’s better to tighten the seat belts and be alert rather than being relaxed and enjoying. He guided that students should realize the importance of competence, focus, hard work in their pursuit of excellence. He strongly believed that there is no limit to human endurance, no limit to human achievement and no limit to human imagination, excepting the limits they put on their mind. So be `limitless’ in terms of your imagination.
Dr. Goyal congratulated all the outgoing students and advised them to continue their quest for knowledge in professional life. He congratulated the proud parents whose role and contribution in the success of their children is far larger than they realize and is sure that as they grow older they will recognize and appreciate their parent’s contribution in shaping their lives.
The Chairman of the Institution Mr. Manish Gupta, gave students useful tips for their future career and growth. He advised the students to remain focussed and dedicated towards the work and try to be innovative at their work place. He further told the students to explore the possibility of becoming an entrepreneur.
The toppers of all the programs were conferred with Gold medals and mementoes. Thereafter, all the students were called on stage one by one to receive their diplomas and degrees. The grand event concluded with a vote of thanks and followed by the National Anthem. All the recipients of diplomas and degrees were extremely happy and it was a proud moment for them, their parents and faculty members.
